You want to get an overview of different existing protection systems, like rockfall fences, debris flow barriers, or slope retention systems, or you want to deepen your natural hazard protection knowledge in general? Then our course is exactly what you are looking for.
The ASDRR is offering a multiday field excursion to Salzburg City and its surrounding mountainous Landscape. Close to Salzburg, where we will stay, the production facilitates TRUMER Schutzbauten, the leading company of natural protection systems in Austria, is located. We will visit the production facility and learn about the whole manufacturing process as well as their quality assurance. Thereafter, we will go into the field and visit several natural hazard protection systems like rockfall fences, debris flow barriers, or slope retention systems.

As a highlight, this trip finds its end in a cultural sightseeing tour through Salzburg city where you can find the birthplace of Wolfgang A. Mozart, Hohensalzburg Fortress, Mirabell Palace and Gardens, Getreidegasse, or the DomQuartier Salzburg.
